My maternal Grandmother was known for her designer hats back in the day, when women went nowhere without her hat & gloves. When my grandmother died, she left my Mom her treasured hats; We could always smell Gramma in those hats. I gave my oldest son his paternal grampa’s raggedy tractor hat & the 1st words…Mom, this is scary I can still smell Grampa! What goes around comes around, specially memories.

This reminds me of my son-in-laws grandmother who died at 105 years of age! She was a marvelously wonderful woman who was a well known singer in her homeland, a pilot, when it was unheard of for a woman, a fabulous dress designer and more importantly, a most creative milliner; a pioneer, a courageous, and fearless mother, an amazing grandmama, loving great grandmother! We lost a true jewel when she passed. Bless you Mama Cello!
