A tree is like a child's bike...it can pretty much be anything, anywhere, anywhen... Full of myth and mystery. It reminded me of Charles de Lint's novel "The Onion Girl".

This is great. Reminds me of my dad - he loved nature & was always very forward-thinking. He read us The Little Prince & The Giving Tree when we were very young. Dad took the time to explain to us the background message of those books & he would have loved this.

I recently bought the print "Deep Roots" because I felt it was written for me. I come from a family where the parents were alcoholics and I the child was the grown-up in the family. When I was young and walked to school the trees waved to me as I passed and I always waved back. I grew up to write children's stories (as yet unpublished), one about a tree that my great-grandparents used to park
