I saw these words on a laminated piece of paper on a wall, somewhere in the world, I don't just now remember what wall or what world, but it was growing dark there and cannonfire lit the horizon and tank treads crushed the bones of the gods beneath us -- gods who had always been beneath us. I read these words and I laughed walls down and I heard others, far off, laughing.
