| I recently bought the print "Deep Roots" because I felt it was written for me. I come from a family where the parents were alcoholics and I the child was the grown-up in the family. When I was young and walked to school the trees waved to me as I passed and I always waved back. I grew up to write children's stories (as yet unpublished), one about a tree that my great-grandparents used to park their horse and buggy under for the shade. I have always believed that trees have spirits (though my daughter won't let me teach this to my grandchildren). I have native-american blood in my family and we are proud to honor the earth and her beauty. Thank you for touching my soul. |
